FAQ

  • Q: Where is BOTG taking place?

A: BOTG will be held in Houston, Texas at our official host hotel/venue. Once contracts are finalized, the venue name and full address will be shared on the event website, ticket page, and via email to all ticket holders.

  • Q: What is the dress code?

    A:Book Ball (Cowgirl Couture Tier):
Think Cowgirl Couture – semi-formal to formal with a Western twist. Boots, gowns, jumpsuits, suits, fringe, sequins, hats, and bold accessories are all welcome.

    Daytime Festival & Shopping:
Cute and comfy. You’ll be walking, browsing vendors, and taking pictures, so wear something stylish and comfortable.

    Workshops / Yoga / Hands-On Sessions:
Clothing you can move in and don’t mind stretching or possibly getting a little product on (for body butter, scent, etc.).

  • Q: Are BOTG tickets refundable?

A: No. All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason once your purchase is complete.

  • Q: Can I transfer my ticket to someone else or change the name?

A: No. Tickets are non-transferable, and no name changes are allowed.

The person whose name is on the ticket must be the person checking in with a matching ID.

  • Q: What if I can’t attend after I’ve purchased my ticket?

A: The policy still applies: no refunds, no transfers, no name changes.

Please only purchase a ticket if you are fully comfortable with these terms.

  • Q: I’m an author. How do I get on the lineup?

A: Authors and featured guests are personally selected and invited by SNS. Filling out a form, expressing interest, or simply attending as a reader does not guarantee an author slot, vendor table, or panel spot.

  • Q: What if an author or vendor I wanted to see doesn’t show up?

A: Lineups can change. If an author or vendor cancels or cannot attend, the event will still move forward.

SNS/BOTG is not responsible for those changes, and this does not qualify for a refund, credit, or ticket transfer.

  • Q: Who is responsible for preorders (books, merch, etc.)?

A: All preorders are handled directly by the author or vendor. SNS/BOTG is not responsible for:

Preorders that are not picked up

Preorders with authors/vendors who do not attend

Delays, damage, shipping issues, or mix-ups

Please contact the author/vendor you ordered from for any preorder questions.

  • Q: What happens if the schedule or speakers change?

A: Schedules and speakers are subject to change. Updates to programming, timing, layouts, or lineups do not qualify for refunds, credits, or exchanges.

  • Q: What if BOTG is postponed or rescheduled?

A: If BOTG must be postponed or moved to a new date, all ticket holders will be emailed with next steps. SNS will determine whether:

Tickets roll over to the new date, or

A credit is offered toward a future SNS/BOTG event

Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law
